The Pixie Spirit Flag Parade
🧚♀️ Good news! Pixie Spirit will once again take part in the Four Days Marches as well as the Flag Parade this year! 🧚♂️
As many of you know, part of Team Pixie will once again lace up their walking shoes for the Four Days Marches this year. For four days straight, we’ll be walking 50 kilometers per day… and yes, that’s quite a lot 😅
During these days, we are recognizable by the Pixie flag we carry on our bags. In addition, our lovely Pixies will be stationed at various points along the route with the large Pixie flag to cheer on and support the team.
And there’s more exciting news: Björn and Mireille are planning to walk the final 10 kilometers over the Via Gladiola in costume on Friday, July 24. Fully dressed up, with our flag as we cross the finish line.
Why? To show that our fantasy community is present everywhere, even in the “ordinary” world, among thousands of other Four Days Marches walkers.
Fantasy doesn’t only live at events, in books, or on screen. Fantasy lives everywhere. In the hearts of thousands of people who share their passion, inspire each other, and create worlds of imagination together.
Yet outside of fantasy events, this community often remains invisible. As a result, some people feel alone or misunderstood in their hobby and passion. How often do you meet someone in everyday life who shares the same love for fantasy and costume creation? More often than you might think.
And that is exactly what we want to show: the fantasy community is everywhere. We are here, we are visible, and we are allowed to be here. That is why we proudly cross the finish line of the Four Days Marches. in costume.
To everyone along the route who loves fantasy, we want to share one message: you are not alone. Our community is bigger than you think and closer than you might expect.
But that’s not all. On Sunday, July 19, the Four Days Marches week is traditionally opened with the Flag Parade. This year as well, Pixie Spirit will take part with its own flag.
Of course, fully in costume, with our Pixie flag held high in the air.
