If you’ve visited a fantasy event regularly, you’ve no doubt stood in awe at the creations of MagickMeadows 🌿🍄. But who is the artist behind all these whimsical, magical creations? We’re excited to introduce you to Iris Visser, the creative mind behind MagickMeadows.

For as long as she can remember, Iris Visser has lived in fantasy worlds in her mind just as often as in the real world. Fantasy books, mythical creatures, and the quiet magic of nature have always left a deep impression on her — forming the foundation of everything she creates.

For this blog, we asked Iris to share the story behind her creations, why she loves being a stallholder, and why she’s looking forward to being a part of Pixie Spirit Fest 🧚.

Iris speaks:

As a clay artist, I give shape to dragons, pixies, goblins, and creatures that seem to whisper there is more than meets the eye. Each figure is created intuitively, inspired by the moss under your feet, twisting roots, tree barks, sparkling stones, and the energy of the nature around us. In addition to figures, I also create wearable fantasy art, such as crystal mushroom necklaces, so a little piece of magic can always travel with you in the form of a talisman.

In my work, I try to capture an invisible world, not by freezing it in place, but by making it feel tangible. I work with cosclay, available at Kleishop, and incorporate pieces of nature that I find along my path.

My creations are for everyone who dares to dream, who lets their imagination run free, and who feels at home in places where magic still exists. You’ll mainly find me at fantasy events, where my stall brings a small piece of MagickMeadows to life and tells a story that anyone can get lost in.

Fantasy events are not just markets for me.
They are meeting places for kindred souls. When I set up my stall at a fantasy event, it feels as if I am opening a small portal, not only to showcase my work, but to tell a story. Visitors, young and old, from dreamers to seasoned fantasy enthusiasts, step into my world. Children gaze with wide eyes, adults smile in recognition. And often I hear: “This feels like coming home.” And that makes me so happy. Because it truly does feel like home!

Conversations with visitors inspire me, other stallholders show me new perspectives, and being together reminds me why I started creating in the first place: to make magic tangible.

You don’t need to be a big brand. You don’t need to be perfect. You only need to be genuine. Pixie Spirit Fest is a place where authenticity is cherished, where craft, imagination, and soul are at the heart of everything. As a stallholder, I don’t feel like a seller, I feel like a storyteller. No one needs to pretend to be bigger or more commercial than they are. On the contrary: here, the personal, the unique, and the honest are celebrated.

The organizers understand that fantasy isn’t just a genre, it’s an experience. They’re not looking for stalls that simply “sell something,” but for stalls that bring something: a mood, a world, a feeling. And you can feel it in everything: from the decorations to the visitors, from the music to the interactions between stallholders.

Pixie Spirit Fest is a festival for everyone aged 0 to 99 who still dares to dream.

For me, this festival isn’t just a date on the calendar. It’s a celebration of everything that reminds us of wonder. And every stallholder adds a new chapter to that story.
